Kimberly VanBuren, was born and raised in Pasadena, California. She decided to join the Air Force in 1995 and spent the next 8 years as a medical technician. Kimberly travelled to several different bases in the United States as well as overseas, working on a variety of 24 hour in-patient units. It was there, talking to the patients who remained on the units for long periods of time, that her love for counseling began. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology while serving on active duty on 3 different continents. After separating from the military in 2003, she continued her education and received her Masters of Arts in Counseling with a special focus in Marriage and Family. Kimberly proceeded to work in an array of clinics and treatment centers (in her home town) that focused on the mental health of children, adolescence, and their families. Kimberly moved to San Antonio with her active duty husband in 2007 and because of her strong ties to the military population she continues to do outreach at military installations in San Antonio.
Kimberly has 10 years of experience working with individuals, families, and children and continues enjoy providing services to those in need.
